Rep. Miller Presents Classical Sheet Music to the Lexington Arts Council
Harrison Township, MI – U.S. Representative Candice Miller (MI-10) this past Saturday took part in the Lexington Arts Council and Sanilac Community Foundation collaborative benefit show featuring the Blues Brotherhood and presented the Lexington Arts Council with a number of classical sheet music books. Rep. Miller obtained the sheet music from the Library of Congress’ book donation program in Washington, DC.
“It was my distinct honor to have presented the Lexington Arts Council with a wide variety of classical sheet music from the Library of Congress during the benefit hosted jointly by both the Lexington Arts Council and Sanilac Community Foundation. Both of these outstanding civic organizations have been instrumental in providing great entertainment and expanding the arts to the Blue Water Area,” said Miller. “Without their efforts music concerts of all types would not be possible, and many other events like these offer people an extraordinary opportunity to come together as a community and experience a wonderful collection of comedy, drama, and music. From the timeless works of Van Gogh and Picasso, to the classical symphonies by Ludwig Van Beethoven and Sebastian Bach, art touches every one of all walks of life and I was honored to be a part of Saturday’s festivities.”
