Rep. Miller Congratulates Triumph Group, Inc. on Receiving $250,000 State Business Development Grant

Oct 16, 2013

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Candice Miller (MI-10) today congratulated Triumph Group, Inc. on receiving a $250,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant through Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).  Triumph Group, Inc., headquartered in Pennsylvania, is a world class manufacturer and supplier of complex gear assemblies, detail gears and an array of components servicing the aerospace industry.  The company is expanding at its Triumph Gear Systems - Macomb, Inc. location in Macomb Township. The project will create 60 jobs and a total capital investment of up to $15.2 million in Macomb Township.  Macomb Township was chosen over competing sites in other states.

“I congratulate Triumph Group, Inc. for their vision in selecting to grow their business right here in Macomb Township.  I am certain that Triumph will find that they made the right choice because the men and women who will fill these new jobs will be some of the hardest working and innovative as they could find anywhere in the world.  In our community we know how to build things and work hard all day every day.  Triumph’s choice to invest here is more proof that Macomb County and Michigan are growing and moving forward.  I also applaud the diligent work of the Strategic Fund and MEDC in issuing this grant and for this new investment made by Triumph and the leadership of Macomb Township for their commitment to grow with this great company in our community.”

Note: The Michigan Business Development and Michigan Community Revitalization programs are MEDC Business Attraction and Economic Gardening programs supported by a Michigan Strategic Fund general fund appropriation.
