WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Candice Miller (MI-10) today made the following statement regarding the upcoming Presidential State of the Union Address. Miller said:

“Our nation faces many great challenges, in particular the need to get our economy growing to allow the creation of new jobs. It is my sincere hope that in his State of the Union Address, President Obama will try to bring our nation together in a way that promotes economic liberty that frees the American people to take on those challenges. It is also my hope that he will work with Congress to reduce over-regulation by the federal government which places far too many hurdles for small business job creators that are the engine of our economy.

“Tomorrow evening, the President will address a Congress that stands ready to work with him on these great challenges and so many others, as well as an American people who expect results. It is my hope that he will join us in this important work because the American people deserve nothing less than our best effort.”
