Harrison Township, MI – U.S. Representative Candice Miller (MI-10) today issued the following statement:

“From the beginning of this debate I have been in favor of legislation that extends the payroll tax cut for every American, ensures that unemployment benefits are extended for those who can’t find work and ensures that those on Medicare will have access to their doctor. The compromise that was passed today will accomplish all of those goals, but more remains to be done. When Congress reconvenes in January, we must immediately get to work to make certain that these important goals are extended for the entire year so that families, job creators and our seniors can have the certainty they need. I am also pleased that the bill which passed today will require an expedited decision by the President on building the Keystone XL pipeline which I strongly believe is not only a job creating project we desperately need, but will also enhance our nation’s energy security.
