WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Candice Miller (MI-10) made the following comments regarding the United Auto Workers (UAW) and Ford Motor Co.’s new tentative contract agreement:
“Over these past few years, the management and workers of Ford have been through a painful time, but they rose to the challenge and the company is now on strong footing. Today’s tentative agreement shows that both management and the UAW continue to make positive strides towards strengthening Ford as a world class competitor in the auto industry. The engineers, designers and workers at Ford produce some of the best automobiles in the world, and the investment in our nation and in Michigan under this contract proves that Ford is committed to building on success. I congratulate management and the UAW for their hard work in reaching this tentative agreement and look forward to the continued resurgence of our domestic auto industry.”
