Miller Statement on Arrest in Pentagon, Capitol Bomb Plot

Harrison Township, MI – U.S. Representative Candice Miller (MI-10), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security, today made the following statement on the arrest of Rezwan Ferdaus in connection with a plot to attack the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol:

“I commend our law enforcement for their diligence in identifying this terror suspect and conducting this important investigation which led to his arrest. This is a sharp reminder that there are those who still wish to violently harm our country and its citizens. The fact that this man is an American citizen and a well educated physicist shows that the threat of radicalization within our country is real and knows no socio-economic boundaries. Radical Islamic terrorist organizations and their adherents remain a threat to our security and we must remain vigilant in defending our nation against these threats.”
