WASHINGTON – U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller (MI-10) today made the following comments regarding the U.S. Department of the Treasury receipt of $560 million, the last remaining payments to the U.S. Treasury for their financial investments into Chrysler Group LLC.

“Today’s repayment to the U.S. Treasury means that the federal government has no more ownership stake in Chrysler. This stands as further proof that this great company is driving toward a bright future,” said Miller. “Nobody should ever underestimate the ability of the hardworking men and women who work in our domestic auto industry. Chrysler is driving forward with great products, great leadership and an incredible workforce. Those who doubted that this great company would be back now have further proof that they were mistaken. I offer my sincere congratulations to Chrysler and its workers on this wonderful accomplishment.”
