WASHINGTON – U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller (MI-10) today made the following comments upon receiving the National Parks Conservation Association’s (NPCA) “National Park Heritage” award recognizing Miller’s record on supporting national park creation and expansion-related legislation in the 111th Congress. This award is in recognition of Miller’s support to preserve America’s heritage through the growth and enhancement of the National Park System, and the award was presented by the President of the NPCA in Washington, DC.
“I have an infinite appreciation for our nation’s national parks and firmly believe in their preservation for the generations who will come after us,” Miller said. “National parks provide every American with the living legacy of our nation’s history, culture and natural resources. I am honored to be recognized by the NPCA and look forward to their continued work for generations to come.”
