Miller to Co-Chair Congressional Boating Caucus

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller (MI-10) today announced she has been appointed Co-Chair of the Congressional Boating Caucus. Joining Miller as Co-Chair is Congressman Joe Donnelly (IN-02).

“As life-long boater, I know the important role the marine and boating industry plays in many of our nation’s communities. I have been proud to be a part of this bipartisan caucus for years, and am pleased to once again co-chair this group of members,” Miller said. “Together, we will work hard to ensure that the use of our waters remain safe, enjoyable and economically viable for years to come.”

Miller was the co-chair of the Congressional Boating Caucus in the 111th and the 110th Congress, and has been a member since she joined Congress in 2003. The Caucus is a bipartisan group of U.S. Senators and Representatives that represents and articulates the needs of the recreational marine industry. Their mission is to improve the economic viability of the industry, support the protection of the environment, further boating safety awareness and the creation of international opportunities for this industry.
