WASHINGTON – U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller (MI-10) today joined her colleagues on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in reading the U.S. Constitution. Miller read a portion of Article I Section 5:
“Neither House, during the Session of Congress, shall, without the Consent of the other, adjourn for more than three days, nor to any other Place than that in which the two Houses shall be sitting.”
Note: The Rules of the House in the 112th Congress require that every bill introduced in Congress must be accompanied by a statement of the power under the Constitution that authorizes the enactment of that bill.
