WASHINGTON – U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller (MI-10), Chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security, today offered her support for Congressman Peter T. King (NY-3), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, who called on Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to add WikiLeaks and its founder Julian Assange to the Specially Designated National and Blocked Persons List (SDN List). By adding WikiLeaks to the SDN List, individuals and companies within the United States would be prohibited from conducting business with WikiLeaks and Assange.
“I applaud those companies who have already taken actions to sever their business ties with WikiLeaks. Its past time for the Obama Administration to move swiftly to take decisive action against WikiLeaks,” Miller said.
