WASHINGTON – U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller (MI-10) today released the following statement in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 17th, 2011. Miller said:

“Dr. King’s life mission was to be a true herald of freedom and hope for the future. We are forever fortunate for Dr. King’s message of peace, hope and justice – a message that is still alive today and felt around our nation and the world. On this day honoring Dr. King’s life, let us remember to carry out his call to love others and never resort to violence or anger.
