Miller Congratulates Military Academy Nominees - Class of 2014

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller (MI-10) congratulated military academy nominees who have received an offer of appointment to the Naval, Air Force, United States Military.

“I am honored and delighted to hear of some of Michigan’s best and brightest young adults who have been accepted into our nation’s service academies,” Miller said. “Each student that I have nominated has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and leadership qualities, and they will now join the ranks of the young men and women who represent the best of our nation. These students have made their families, communities and the state of Michigan very proud and I offer my congratulations to them on their outstanding accomplishment.”

Congresswoman Miller nominated the following students for academy appointments:

West Point Military Academy:
Andrew Fitzsimmons, Casco, Class of 2010 – Marine City High School
Kyle Maxwell, Romeo, Class of 2010 – Romeo High School

U.S. Air Force Academy:
Joshua Kanke, Richmond, Class of 2010 – Richmond High School

U.S. Naval Academy:
Mitchell Kallek, Armada, Class of 2010 – Armada High School
